Book your group in for a fin-tastic visit to the Oceanarium!

The Oceanarium brings your group face to face with a vast array of creatures from the furthest reaches of the globe – from clownfish to sharks and stingrays.  An all weather experience, suitable for all ages and abilities, the Oceanarium is ideally situated on Bournemouth’s beautiful seafront

All pre-booked groups of 10 or more people receive special discounted rates. In addition to these discounted rates, we also offer one free leader/group organiser with every group (must be at least 10 paying people).

We have introduced an online group advance ticket at only £9.99 per person - this is a fantastic offer! These tickets can only be purchased online up to 2 days in advance of the visit, have minimum numbers of 10 paying visitors, and they are strictly non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Should you require more flexibility you can book in advance (see How to book tab below) and pay standard group prices on the day.

There is a coach drop-off point situated by the BIC, approximately one minutes walk from the Oceanarium. The nearest coach park is at Queen’s Road Car Park – situated just off the Wessex Way (under a mile from the Oceanarium). For further information click here and here.

After your visit allow time to enjoy our beachfront Offshore Café with breathtaking views cross the bay, and time to shop in The Cove for the ideal gift or souvenir.

Please note - our enquiry line is not always manned, please leave a message and someone will get back to you. 

If enquiring by email, please include your name and contact details, the date of your visit, numbers in your group and the group leader's details.

  • Groups must book at least 1 week in advance to receive these discounted rates.  Please note the group bookings co-ordinator works office hours.
  • To make your visit more manageable, we suggest keeping groups to a maximum of 20 , with staggered entry into the Oceanarium of at least 20 minutes and keeping to your allotted arrival times.  
  • To ease overcrowding in our admissions area, please wait outside for all your group to arrive and enter through admissions together  at the allocated times.
  • Groups must be supervised at all times by the accompanying adults/group leader.  Any person found to be constantly disruptive or inconsiderate to other visitors will be asked to leave.
  • Groups must pay on arrival.
  • Group bookings on weekend and school holiday are only available for a maximum of 20 people from 3 pm onwards. Request for larger groups or arrival before 3pm are not available.
  • If you are pruchasing teh onlien group rate, please note you will still have to queue on busy days such as wet weather days
