Food & Beverage Manager

An exciting opportunity for an energetic, confident and experienced Manager, with a passion for the industry, has arisen at the Oceanarium Bournemouth. Leading from the floor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and development of our high turnover catering facilities, whilst ensuring that our visitors are given a great day out. Through motivational and positive leadership, you will oversee a large team, implementing the highest standard of food health and safety and seeing that an excellent service is consistently provided. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be part of the management team, with a remit to develop, exploit and manage all catering financial opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced multi-unit Manager who has worked in a large turnover environment. You will be a proficient catering professional, an accomplished and experienced team leader, combining business awareness with the ability to influence and collaborate across the whole organisation. As Food and Beverage Manager you will be in full control of all operational aspects of the catering facility, including food production, in service and administration. You will understand and have sound knowledge of food safety legislation and associated requirements. Numeracy, IT literacy, planning and financial skills are desirable. 

Candidates for the post must have at least two years' experience of managing or supervising a catering outlet. They will be able to demonstrate experience in the management of customer service, team motivation and development, food preparation and delivery, food hygiene (at Level 3 Certification) and COSHH, along with safe practices of working.

The post requires Duty Manager responsibility and weekend work.

This role is full time permanent (40 hours per week, 5 days a week) and based at The Oceanarium, Bournemouth, a prime location to work!

With an annual salary between £28,000-£30,000, a competitive benefits package, 28 days holiday, complimentary tickets to the attraction, this role also carries enrolment on the company bonus scheme which would allow an additional 15% of the salary to be earned.
