Key West

Enjoy a beautiful cross section view of colourful fish as they swim among the tree roots of a mangrove lagoon including our hornshark, blue tangs and Southern stingrays.

KEY WEST FACTS

The Florida Keys are a string of barrier islands south of the tip of the Florida Mainland.

They are connected by highway 1 that travels 100 miles to Key West- the southernmost point in the continental United States.

Mangroves are one of Florida’s true locals, covering approximately 469,000 acres. These trees thrive in salty environments because they are able to obtain freshwater from saltwater through their roots.

Mangroves Provide a protected habitat, breeding grounds and nursery areas to many terrestrial and marine animals.
