Ticket Definitions

Adult - aged 16 – 59 years
Senior - aged 60 years +
Student - must show valid student ID
Child - aged 3- 15 years inclusive and must be accompanied by a responsible adult
Family - maximum of 2 adults
Carer - a person who is registered as a carer to accompany an adult or child with disabilities (carer proof required). Carers must present either a valid carers card, proof of carers allowance or a letter from your GP. DLA is accepted as carers proof if you are caring for a child (under 16.) If you do require a carer ticket this can be claimed online or on on arrival along with presenting your proof. NB: To receive a free carer ticket, it must be accompanied with a paying ticket. 
Under 3's - children under the age of 3 are admitted free of charge to the aquarium  (and do not require a ticket)

For Tesco Clubcard vouchers, please bring your confirmation (second Tesco email) with you to our admissions desk on the day you would like to visit, and we will redeem your voucher code for you. Our prices do vary so we recommend checking the price a few days before your arrival and if the vouchers are for part payment, you can pay the balance with a card or cash.

ASSISTANCE DOGS – We welcome trained assistance dogs into the Aquarium / Oceanarium. Please inform a member of the admissions team on arrival so they can notify display staff that a dog is on site. This helps us ensure the safety and well-being of all animals in our care, as well as providing the best possible experience for all visitors. Assistance dogs should be appropriately trained, under control and up to date with vaccinations. Our team may ask for supporting information where appropriate to help us meet our duty of care. Please note that, in line with UK guidance, emotional support animals do not have the same legal recognition as assistance dogs and are therefore not permitted within the Aquarium / Oceanarium. If you have any questions or specific requirements, please speak to a member of our team, we are happy to help.

Bikes, rollerblades, scooters, self-propelled sit-on toys, and footballs are NOT allowed in the Oceanarium for safety reasons

Planning on visiting on a wet weather day?  Please be aware that on wet days during school holidays and weekends, the Oceanarium can get extremely busy. Although we don’t have any maximum capacity as we are classed as a walk-through attraction, we are very aware of a sensible limit of visitors and will stop admitting people when we reach this. This means that if you visit on a wet day in the school holidays or on weekends, please be advised that you may have to queue for a long time to get in (some of which may be outside without cover), and that it will be very busy once you are inside the aquarium, particularly around feeding times. Please be aware that Penguin Beach Encounter is an outside exhibit so wet weather clothing is advisable. The Oceanarium is open 364 days per year (closed Christmas Day) and is an ALL-weather attraction, suitable for any weather condition; not just rainy days. However, we look forward to welcoming you on whichever day you choose to visit.
