The Oceanarium Conservation Education department is a vibrant, dynamic, and energetic space committed to providing positive visitor experiences paired with lasting educational interactions and memorable conservation messages. Our dedicated team works creatively and collaboratively to host multi-dimensional programmes for visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
We are seeking a proactive individual with proven people skills to join the team.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the delivery of educational programmes, conservation activities and experience sessions.
• To assist in animal care and the maintenance of habitats to the highest possible standard.
• Support the Conservation Education team in creating memorable learning experiences for all visitors.
• Assist in the production of engaging content for our social media channels, showcasing the animal collection and Conservation Education activities.
• Supporting provision of the highest standards of animal welfare and husbandry at all times. This includes ensuring all zoo licence regulations and BIAZA guidelines are adhered to and that related administration duties are fulfilled.
Candidate requirements:
• Positive, vibrant outlook with excellent organisational skills and time management.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Degree or equivalent in animal science-related subject (preferred)

This hourly paid (up to £12.71/hr) seasonal full-time position includes weekend and bank holiday working. More information and job description available upon request.
